Privacy policy
Azure Speed Test respects your privacy. We do not ask you to create an account or give us personal details. The site is free and funded by advertising, so it loads Google Analytics and Google AdSense.
Test data
Latency tests run directly from your browser to Azure regional endpoints, and the results stay in your session. Speed tests and the IP lookup tool call our backend, which logs the request, including the value you looked up and your IP address, for diagnostics and abuse prevention.
Cookies and advertising
We use local storage to remember your theme and measurement preferences; those values never leave your browser.
Google Analytics and AdSense separately set cookies and device identifiers to measure traffic and to serve and measure ads based on your visits to this and other sites, so ads may be personalized. Google acts as an independent provider under its own policies, not on our behalf; under laws such as the CCPA this counts as "sharing" personal information. See how Google uses this data . We never sell your information ourselves.
You can turn off personalized ads in Google My Ad Center , and clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time.
